The Problem

Human activity has wiped out 60% of animal populations since 1970.
From 1970 to 2012, global populations of freshwater fish have declined 88%.
83% of all mammals and 50% of plants have been wiped off the face of the earth since human civilization began.
Around 1.55 million acres are lost to development every year. Through local, state, and national organizations we only conserve 1.8 million acres per year.
Therefore, we are gaining a minimal net 250 thousand acres per year.

To reach the goal of 30 x 30, we must conserve a net of 4.4 million more acres annually than we are currently.
We are bringing a knife to a gun fight.

60% of land in the United States is owned by private land owners.
